| Edwards became a licensed architect in 1957 after graduating from the University of Illinois and serving two years in the US Army in Korea. He practiced architecture in Champaign, Illinois for 27 years, first as a principal in Laz & Edwards Architects and Delineators, and later with Edwards & Dankert Architects and Engineers. In 1984 he became Manager of Real Estate Development for Champion Federal Savings and Loan in Bloomington, Illinois. |
| After spending 2 years as a staff architect at State Farm Insurance, Edwards resumed private in 1992. Edwards Architects has served the Central Illinois area continuously since that date. |
| Edwards is proud of the many building and planning projects he has designed over the years and continues to look for more challenging architectural projects in the future. In his spare time, Bob enjoys golfing and traveling. |
